Advent Message

As Thanksgiving celebrations wind down and family and friends return home, take some time for yourself to reflect on the past year and settle into what you would like to finalize for 2024. A lot of emphasis is put on the New Year, which is wonderful and appropriate, but we can already begin to manifest our intentions for 2025 as we put gratitude and focus on our accomplishments for 2024.

I like to remind people that no matter what you did or did not accomplish in 2024, always look back at where you were. Reflecting back reminds us of where we were, not just earlier in the year, or the month, but even in the last week or days. So often we have amazing goals that we strive for. Having goals is healthy but striving can set us up for failure as our perception is that we never arrive. I have found that one of the most healthy and rewarding ways of getting closer to my intentions, is to look back at where I was on the journey to those accomplishments. You will always find a little something that you have accomplished which has moved you closer to the next step. Maybe it is a thought or a plan that you have taken the time to write down. Maybe it was connecting with someone else that has some experience in the field that has given you some different ideas, and may be it was you realizing that the particular goal that you had passion for at some point is not longer a goal. No matter what it is, take some time to reflect and honor the tiny steps that are easier to recognize when you reflect back instead of continuing to strive ahead and never feel that you are getting anywhere.

As you practice this different way of setting intentions and manifesting your desires with a feeling of accomplishment, you may begin to notice a deep feeling of gratitude, which accompanies the exercise of reflecting back. That internal 'good feeling' will change your vibrational frequency and move you closer to your manifesting ability. In alignment with that thought, the practice of gratitude and thanks is a daily exercise. Thanksgiving raises our consciousness and open us to really feel the gratitude and give thanks. Instead of increasing that awareness of gratitude on just one day a year, how about we practice this on a daily basis. Watch how your vibration changes and take stock of how much better you feel about your day. The feeling of giving thanks and gratitude is one of the biggest and easiest gifts you can give yourself.

It is also a gift that will affect your horse. In gratitude you seek what is working, in striving for the next thing you are always focusing on what you don't have. This not only lowers your vibrational frequency, but it also pushes you into a tendency to force things that are not quite ready to happen. Imagine what a change this can make when you are working with your horse. if your vibrational frequency is increased then you are closer to your horses frequency and your responses to your horse will be more in alignment with the horses needs, not just yours.

As we begin this first day of Advent take some time to reflect, breath, maybe begin a gratitude or thankful journal and notice how the spirit of this season becomes a part of you. Not just for the Christmas season, but for each day of the rest of this year and the next. Make every day a day of Thanks Giving!

Debbie
